Gold Winner. International Automotive Advertising Awards



With limited funds, Land Rover’s sponsorship of grass roots English rugby was always going to be eclipsed by brands with bigger budgets. We got sneaky and launched a viral with a view to getting far more than our money’s worth.



The result was www.englandsrealpassion.com - and what a result it gave us: over 500,000 tracked views of the viral and, unofficially, over a million. The highlight was an appearance on BBC1’s Football Focus where the film was shown and followed up with a 96-second discussion between Martin Keown and Mark Lawrenson. That’s over two minutes of prime time sports telly with plenty of Land Rover namechecks.
