With limited funds, Land Roverís sponsorship of grass roots English rugby was always going to be eclipsed by brands with bigger budgets. We got sneaky and launched a viral with a view to getting far more than our moneyís worth.
The result was www.englandsrealpassion.com - and what a result it gave us: over 500,000 tracked views of the viral and, unofficially, over a million. The highlight was an appearance on BBC1ís Football Focus where the film was shown and followed up with a 96-second discussion between Martin Keown and Mark Lawrenson. Thatís over two minutes of prime time sports telly with plenty of Land Rover namechecks.
